ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that he will not close his industries now as the country cannot afford lockdown again.
Accompanied by his economic team in Islamabad, Prime Minister Imran Khan announced a package for small industries.
The Prime Minister said that additional power would be provided to small scale industries at a cost of 50%.
Regarding Corona, the Prime Minister appealed to the people to use masks.
Prime Minister Imran Khan said that the second wave of Corona is spreading rapidly in the world and cases are also increasing in Pakistan but Allah Almighty has been very kind to Pakistan, we have made wise decisions and Allah has been gracious.
He said that if Corona grows, industries and businesses will not be shut down at all but will run their industries with SOPs.
Briefing on Corona at Cabinet meeting
On the other hand, in a meeting of the Federal Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Imran, he was briefed on the situation of Coronavirus in the country in which it was informed that the number of Coronavirus patients is increasing.
The Prime Minister directed strict implementation of SOPs due to increase in Corona cases in the country.
He said that the country could not afford lockdown again and the provinces should ensure implementation of TTQ and smart lockdown strategy.
